ARRIVAL

It was 5.30 AM when my alarm went off. I didn't catch a lot of sleep that night, nor did I catch a lot of sleep during the week because of my last busy internship in a school. I had to say goodbye to my lovely girlfriend, Lise! It was a really tough goodbye knowing that we won't be seeing each other irl. for over approximately 5 months! I got to Brussels Airport with my mom by train. Before checking in, my mom and I went for a coffee there. After a little chat, I went further myself and boarded the airplane to Stockholm, Sweden. It was 10.00 AM when the airplane started the motors. The flight took about 2 hours and 30 minutes. The view of the landscape was really impressive when making the landing. Much snow, mountains and a lot of nature.

After leaving the plane and picking up my bags, I made my way to the Arlanda Stockholm Train station to take the train to Linköping, my final destination. I had already booked my train ticket and had to wait more than an hour before taking the train. There was much nature to see, as well as snow and frozen lakes! It was pretty nice to see. There was free WiFi available on the train which I obviously used to let my friends now about my journey. There were a lot of Swedes working on their laptops and calling with their cellphones. It took me some time to figure out there was wall-plug underneath my seat. I was already charging my cellphone with my power bank... *FACEPALM* My train arrived in Linköping. This trip took about 2 hours and 30 minutes as well. I took the taxi to the place where I will be staying for a week. It's an appartement by the water belonging to a couple who let me use a room of them! They must be a helping hand figuring out all the stuff in Linköping! Excited what will happen next!
